About These Maps
Welcome to my portfolio of custom fantasy maps — visual worlds built from a unique blend of GIS training, creative storytelling, and environmental design.
These maps illustrate original settings from my fantasy series Ethereal Seals, a world decades in the making. Years of hands-on experience with QGIS, ArcGIS, and related geospatial tools, combined with my love of worldbuilding, laid the foundation for these designs.
I use a top-down, LiDAR-style aesthetic for most structures, creating the feel of a satellite map, while enhancing key landmarks with 3D elevation effects to make them stand out. This method helps blend realism with artistic flair — ideal for immersive storytelling. None of my maps are AI-assisted or created.

Stonehaven — The Mountain City of Crystal Smiths and Artisans
Located within the northern Winterwall Mountains, Stonehaven endures a brutal climate of long, frigid winters and fleeting summers. Its surrounding foothills are stalked by direclaw bears, ghost wolves, and towering Winterwall giants—forming a wild barrier that repels bandits and would-be invaders alike. Nightfall often plunges the land well below freezing.
The people of Stonehaven are as rugged as the land itself, their physiques forged by cold and hardship. To survive, they wield advanced technology—green crystalline domes that protect and nurture crops throughout the harshest winters. From the skies, these Emerald Fields glitter like scattered jewels across the snow-dusted peaks, a testament to the ingenuity that blooms in even the coldest places.
Dohrn ─Ancient Highbornï City
Rising from the storm-lashed peaks of a lone island in the Herculean Sea, Dohrn stands as one of the few remaining bastions of the Highbornï legacy. Founded in the Primordial Age by the ancient Highbornï, the city was built to guard secrets long buried—mysteries now whispered only in legend.
Though narrow in breadth, Dohrn’s towering walls endure—and its defenders endure even more. Soldiers and mages alike stand as one, protecting a rare harmony of commerce, nature, and governance. A unity seldom seen across Atläs.
For should Dohrn fall, the world may not withstand what awakens in its absence.
The Fer’tal Crescent ─ the Breadbasket of Atläs
Before the empires, before the war, there was the Crescent — lush, hidden, and full of promise. At the tip of a huge, curling peninsula, the Crescent shapes a vast bay along the Herculean Sea.
Its sweeping grasslands nourish fields of grain, while bustling ocean ports hum with trade. More merchants pass through its markets than any other corner of the world — which is why the Dragynyte Empire covets it so greedily.
But beyond the humid leas and snow-capped peaks of Winterwall, beneath the rustling canopy of Deepwood Forest, legends stir.
Among them are the Slyharts—a forgotten lineage tracing back to the Primordial Age. And from their humble soil rises Pepper Slyhart, an outcast farmgirl burdened by blood and birthright, yet destined to ignite a war.
The Fer’tal Crescent is where our story begins.
Midvale — The Hub of the Fer’tal Crescent
Founded during the Golden Age, Midvale quickly earned its title as the capital of the Fer’tal Crescent. Its strategic location, nestled between vital waterways and airways for trade, offers unparalleled access to the heart of the region. The rugged terrain of Deepwood and the Wyvern’s Tendrils provide natural defenses, while the city itself stands as a symbol of power.
But beneath its regal façade, tension brews. The half-dragyn population, concentrated in the slums, has long been a point of division. Imperialists, who view the half-dragyns as a blight, clash with royalists who seek to maintain peace and tolerance. The struggle for dominance has fueled generations of unrest.
It is here, amidst the growing shadows of dissent, that Pepper Slyhart arrives — the reluctant hero destined to defend the kingdom’s capital from the creeping darkness that threatens to tear it apart from within.
